Notre séjour chez Diogo a été absolument merveilleux. Le lieu est fabuleux, spacieux, chaleureux et offre une vue magnifique sur le Douro, un véritable havre de paix. L’accueil de Diogo a été exceptionnel, avec beaucoup de gentillesse et d’attention tout au long du séjour. Grâce à cet endroit unique, nous avons pu célébrer les 80 ans de mes parents entourés de toute la famille, et cette fête restera un souvenir inoubliable pour nous tous. Diogo nous a également recommandé une cheffe cuisinière pour l’occasion : le repas était tout simplement excellent et a largement contribué à la réussite de cet anniversaire. Un immense merci aussi au personnel chargé du ménage et de l’entretien du jardin, qui a été remarquable, toujours disponible, discret et extrêmement professionnel. Nous recommandons ce logement les yeux fermés et espérons avoir la chance d’y revenir un jour.

Such a lovely stay! The photos honestly don’t do it justice, the house is incredible. Diogo was an amazing host, incredibly accommodating, we ended up in passport control for 3 hours so checked in late and he still came to meet us! We also had a late flight back so he let us stick around which was so helpful and always responded to messages (even when we’re asking where to buy pool floats haha) Overall an incredible holiday, Diogo is a gem and you’ll have a great time staying here! ♥️

Diogos house is great. It is set in beautiful gardens with a stream that runs next to the pool. There are lovely views of the river from the main balcony and great outdoor cooking facilities which we used for making pizzas. We were a group of 11 friends and had a wonderful week in the house.

From the moment we arrived at Diogo’s villa we were completely blown away. The villa and setting are spectacular and the pool is out of this world. We enjoyed ourselves so much we rarely left the villa, although Melres and the Douro river are beautiful and tranquil places. Thanks Diogo, we hope to be back soon!

Cannot recommend Diogo’s place highly enough! The surroundings and the house are incredible, and Diogo was such a helpful host. We were a big group without a car and Diogo even took us to the local supermarket when we arrived. He is a very responsive host, answered all our questions promptly and had no problems offering an early check in. We had a fantastic time.

We booked this property for our micro wedding celebration dinner, and it could not have been more perfect. The house itself is stunning, spacious, and thoughtfully maintained. We had the most INCREDIBLE stay at Diogo's. The property and surroundings are truly breathtaking (even better than the photos, if that's possible). We had everything we needed during our stay, and Diogo was really responsive and helpful if we had any questions etc. My only complaint is that we didn't book to stay for longer...already planning my next trip back! 5 stars isn't enough for this property!

Beautiful place! An easy drive in from Porto or even Lisbon - Melres greets you. Diogo was a responsive and lovely host, going above and beyond. The grounds are immaculately maintained and preserved - with so many wonderful coves and pathways to more nature and delight. I highly recommend making time to explore the grounds. The pool area is gorgeous and where we hosted a small wedding ceremony. The house is large with plenty of space for your guest. We had 13 people inside and I often was wondering where people were! Local catering Diego suggested for us was very delicious and the service provided was top of the line. However, large kitchen and pantry to make everything you could need! I highly recommend both Diego and the property! Everyone was wowed when they arrived and understood instantly the magic of this place!

This is one of the most incredible places I have ever had the privilege of staying at. Perfect for a group of friends/ families. Our group were awe-struck on arrival. The property is an architectural gem sat upon a prominent valley with far reaching Duoro views. The property is HUGE and the pool area has a beautiful bbq area also. Diogo is also a top-tier host, speedy communication and was willing to help in everyway possible. It was fascinating to hear about the history of the property. Make sure to explore the grounds - theres a private path all the way down to the local restaurant which I would highly recommend. Our only regret was not staying longer...Diogo thank you so much for your hospitality and sharing this wonderful property with us.

Pictures do not even begin to describe how beautiful Diogo’s place is. It is very quiet and peaceful with breathtaking views. Diogo is extremely responsive and friendly. We held a small wedding here. It was absolutely amazing. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back someday.

We were a group of 15 friends and this place was a perfect home for us for a few days. It was quite hot with a heat wave coming through but there were fans in every room and the pool came quite handy! I would stay here again. Diogo was communicative and a lovely host.

9 adults and 6 children had an amazing week at Diogo’s place. The house, garden and surrounds are absolutely stunning and we made full use of the bbq, pizza oven and pool area! The pool is a bit of a walk from the house, via a 3 story staircase or a winding path so make sure you take everything first time or be prepared to get your steps in! Diogo was an excellent host, very responsive to messages and provided great suggestions for activities.

This house is truly a special place, perfect for getting friends and family together! It has everything you need as a large group, space to spread out, eat, chat and look at the gorgeous view. We had a great stay at Quinta dos Moinhos. What a house and what a property! We stayed with 4 families for a full week and really felt sad to leave. We also enjoyed the location. Only 5 min from the highway, 25 min to downtown Porto and the beaches. junho de 2026
